Following
the acquisition of Ad-Ex Translations Ltd, RWS has
consolidated its resources in the field of medical/pharmaceutical
translations, and has formed a dedicated Medical
Translation Division, with its principal offices
in Wimbledon, London.
The translation of medical and pharmaceutical
documents is a specialised business - requiring
professional knowledge, accuracy and timely delivery.
Experts in our Medical Translation Division have
been providing these skills to the world's major
drug companies for more than 40 years.
Specialising in medicine and pharmacology, the
Division serves many of the world's major drug
companies, translating from and into approximately
30 languages, including those of the more recent
EU accession countries. The Division is equipped
to handle projects of any size or complexity,
and translations conform to EMEA and FDA guidelines.
Documents translated include:
Articles for specialist journals
Books and sponsored publications
Regulatory Affairs documentation
Clinical trial documentation
Product information (IFUs, SPCs, PILs, labelling)
Conference proceedings
Medical insurance documentation
Presentations
Training
courses, instructions, video scripts etc.
Translations into English from the more common
languages are handled mostly in-house by the Division’s
team of medically-qualified subject-specialist
translators and editors, and supported by RWS’s
strict quality procedures. Out of English work
is produced in the target country and exposed to
the same rigorous quality controls. Our medical
and pharmaceutical translators are all subject
specialists, experienced in the requirements of
the CTD (Common Technical Document) and associated
documentation.
The Medical Translation Division works for companies
in the following fields: medicine and pharmacology
(human and veterinary), biotechnology, homoeopathy
and natural medicine, healthcare, medical device
manufacture, diagnostic equipment manufacture,
medical publishing, medical insurance and reinsurance,
medical communications, etc. | |
