Appointment of Non-Executive Director

RWS Holdings plc (“RWS”, “the Group”), the world’s leading provider of intellectual property support services (patent translations, international patent filing solutions and searches) and a leading provider of life sciences and commercial language services, today announces the appointment of Lara Boro as an Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 20 September 2017. Lara (age 50) is currently a Group Managing Director with Informa, the FTSE 100 global B2B media company, where she heads up the Life Science, TMT and Transportation businesses within the Business Intelligence division. Previously, Lara was CEO International for Ascential plc (formerly Emap plc), where she led the business’s international expansion into MENA, China, and Brazil. She has also held commercial and M&A roles with CPA Global, the IP services company, and Pearson. Lara also holds an MBA from INSEAD. The Group also announces that Peter Mountford, currently Non-Executive Director, will be stepping down from the Board with effect from 30 September 2017. Peter has served on the RWS Board since the IPO in November 2003 and has made a valuable contribution to the Group and its progress as a listed company. In light of Peter’s departure, David Shrimpton, Senior Independent Non-Executive Director and Deputy Chairman, will chair the Audit Committee. Liz Lucas, Non-Executive Director, will chair the Remuneration Committee. Lara will join both the Audit and Remuneration Committees.
