The latest version of the industry’s leading computer-assisted translation (CAT) tool builds on a long history of innovation and attention to the diverse needs of translation professionals. Trados Studio 2022, now available, offers better-than-ever synchronization between the desktop application and cloud platform, includes hundreds of updates in response to user requests, and handles even more file types.
“The latest version of Trados Studio supports our vision for the whole Trados portfolio,” explains Daniel Brockmann, Principal Product Manager, RWS. “We’ve looked at what our clients want from a CAT tool and the way they now work as individuals, teams and businesses, and we've developed Studio to make them even more productive today and tomorrow, however they want to work.”
What’s new in Trados Studio 2022?
- Easier access to cloud capabilities: Trados Studio 2022 makes it easier to work from anywhere, using any device, with new wizards for moving projects, translation memories and termbases from the desktop application to the cloud. The cloud subscription formerly known as Trados Live Essential is now permanently included at no extra cost, allowing Studio users to discover the potential of the cloud, or a mix of desktop- and cloud-based working, at their own pace.
- Even more file types supported: New file types have been added to the 50+ already supported in Trados Studio, making it the tool of choice for a wider diversity of projects and allowing translation teams and businesses to expand their services. Some file types are supported through apps available from the integrated RWS AppStore, including the new multilingual Excel file type used for gaming localization and other use cases.
- Hundreds of new updates: Innovative new features and enhancements make Trados Studio the only tool capable of handling any translation task or project. A brand-new ‘Manager View’, available as a beta feature, gives translators a whole new way to work with projects and files. And the online editor, one of our most sophisticated cloud capabilities, has also seen hundreds of updates over the past year, bringing it closer to the power of Studio.
Trados Studio is trusted by 270,000 translators and 80% of the localization community. It has been helping translators and language service providers for over 30 years to translate faster, ensure consistent quality and reduce administrative work.
