After a hugely successful event in 2023, this year’s INTA Annual Meeting had a lot to live up to. But sure enough, the conference – which took place in Downtown Atlanta, Georgia – exceeded expectations once again.
Thought leadership
The four-day event attracted 10,000 intellectual property professionals from around the world. It opened with a keynote presentation from Dr. Bernice A. King, a lawyer, pastor, thought leader and daughter of Martin Luther King Jr.
Dr. King delivered a thought-provoking speech, addressing some of the challenges around preserving the intellectual property rights associated with her father’s legacy.
The business of Innovation
The theme of the event was The Business of Innovation, which shone a spotlight on how creativity, change and technology are transforming how IP professionals conduct business.
The theme was reflected in the educational sessions that ran throughout the course of the event. The sessions either focused on IP and Innovation – with practical tips and advice from IP industry leaders – or on Business, which offered attendees an opportunity to sharpen their commercial acumen.
RWS at INTA
Our booth was well-attended throughout, and our sales leaders, product experts and supply chain specialists had plenty of productive and enlightening conversations with delegates. Some of the more recent additions to our leadership team made their INTA debuts, including Dwayne Perry, (VP, Americas & Europe), Brian King (VP, Client Relations) and Wouter Dutilh (Senior Director, Business Development).
Three most popular services were inovia, renewals and AOP connect. We were pleased to have an opportunity to live-demo some of our market-leading software, including our time-saving foreign filing platform, inovia, and our collaborative IP Research portal, AOP Connect. We also unveiled the prototype of our new patent renewals platform, which received a positive reception.
The RWS drinks reception, which took place at the Red Phone Booth speakeasy, provided attendees an opportunity to mingle in a less formal setting. We were delighted with the turnout, and we had yet more thought-provoking conversations while enjoying some of the finest cocktails Atlanta has to offer.
We're already looking forward to INTA 2025, which will take place in San Diego, California.
We regularly attend events and conferences around the world. Details of upcoming events can be found on our website.
