Language Students Visit RWS Language Solutions in Alnwick
07 Feb 2019
On 6 February 2019, a group of 10 students from Newcastle University’s B.A. programme in Translation & Interpreting and M.A. programme in Professional Translation in European Languages visited the offices of RWS Language Solutions in Alnwick.
The visit formed part of the Translation Networks Project at Newcastle University, which aims to provide students with opportunities to learn about and experience translation in its wider professional context.
The students took part in a programme of presentations from the RWS Language Solutions team, including project management, translation and interpreting, highlighting the professional opportunities that are available within a full-service Language Services Provider such as RWS Language Solutions.
Following the presentations, Dr. Jean-Christophe Penet from the University’s School of Modern Languages said, “The field trip was extremely well organized and the varied programme was hugely beneficial to the students.”
This visit is an example of the outreach work that RWS Language Solutions regularly undertakes as part of its ongoing involvement with universities educating the next generation of students in Modern Languages and Translation.
