Business Development Representative

Language Solutions | Remote | Remote | Full-Time

Job summary

The Business Development Representative will generate new business and direct sales through identification and acquisition of potential new clients, lead referrals and networking on behalf of the RWS Language Solutions. The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager.

 Goals and expectations

  • Identify appropriate target list that is in line with the RWS Language Solutions ideal client criteria and business acquisition goals
  • Work with internal and external resources to provide solutions that will meet prospective client’s business goals
  • Lead the business development cycle and collaborate with ideal resources from marketing, sales, production experts and solution architects to drive business development cycle to close
  • Ensure pricing levels negotiated with clients meet the corporate target profit level
  • Participate in providing higher visibility to RWS Language Solutions through networking, trade shows, writing relevant articles for publication, and speaking at conferences
  • Maintain appropriate sales pipeline in CRM database
  • Travel to prospects and new clients; frequent travel required

Skills 

  • Focus on business, awareness of competitive environment, excellent networking skills
  • Experience selling in the translation/localization industry is an asset
  • Strong organizational and administration skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Fluent in English and German languages

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, or combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales as a individual contributor
  • Demonstrated large account sales success

Location

  • Remote based – German business hours
