Summary

Our client, a world-leading, global IT company, is seeking Linguistic Testers to provide language, functional and product user interface testing services for their software products.

Linguistic Testers work closely with our internal Test Coordinators, Test Developers and linguistic teams to flag and resolve issues impacting the user experience in localized software. They are native speakers of the tested languages with great command of their native tongue. The ideal candidate is good at both finding bugs and describing them in an organized and clear way into a defect database. Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is required.

We are looking for native speakers with excellent grammar skills in the following languages to work as testers onsite in our office in Brno.

What you would do:

  • Work with the internal teams to test and refine the localized user experience
  • Conduct linguistic, functional, localization and regression testing of software products including desktop, web and mobile apps
  • Find linguistic, functional, user interface and layout issues and differences between English and localized software products
  • Use internal and 3rd party tools and bug filing software (e.g. JIRA, Bugzilla, Zendesk)
  • Re-test already logged defects to verify they have been fixed
  • Work with Test Coordinators on updating the project status reports and with Test Developers on updating test plans and test scripts

What you should have:

  • Excellent grammar skills of the target language, be a native speaker
  • Active connection and deep knowledge of current cultural landscape and trends in target market
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving, and analytical abilities
  • Strong ability to research, multitask, and prioritize
  • Ability to work effectively within deadlines
  • Ability to work on-site
