Justin Simpson, inovia’s founder and Australian patent attorney, will moderate a panel on foreign filing best practices at this week’s IP Counsel Café in Palo Alto, CA.
With limited budgets, companies are re-evaluating where they are filing and prosecuting their patents. In a session entitled, “Foreign Filing and Prosecution,” Simpson will lead a group of panelists to discuss defensive filing strategies and enforcement, structuring foreign filing rights, and how best to position your company for growth.
The panelists include Intellectual Property experts from:
• NovaBay Pharmaceuticals
• Symantec Corp.
During the session, Simpson will also share findings from inovia‘s U.S. 2011 Global Patent & IP Trends Indicator, the company’s annual look at how the economy impacted global IP strategy in 2010 and will affect foreign filing plans in 2011.
