  •  With 259 invention patent applications and 132 design patent applications, Apple Inc. beat out competitors and claimed the top spot for patent applications in Taiwan for the first part of 2013. 
  • The USPTO is considering plans to allow companies to get trademarks on top level domains, currently this practice is unavailable to TLD ‘s.
  • Three vacancies for the Trademark Public Advisory Committee need to be filled and the USPTO is taking nominations before September 30, 2013.
