Good afternoon, readers.  With the Holidays quickly approaching, we have been busy gathering the latest updates in foreign patent filing for your consideration.

  • The EPO announced on Tuesday the completion of its free machine translation service, Patent Translate. The program finished one year ahead of schedule, with all 28 official languages of the EPO’s 38 member states included.
  • Australia’s high court found methods of medical treatment patentable, while infringement by cross-label use is fact dependent. 
  • A big congratulations are in order for the USPTO! The agency was recently named the number one best place to work in the Federal Government.
