Friday Foreign Filing Roundup
Here’s a recap of the foreign filing/patent law news from this week:
- The Indian Patent Office experienced a decline in the number of patents filed, examined and granted in 2009-2010.
- The INPI will be making some changes in order to speed up examination of Brazilian patent applications, which currently averages over 8 years.
- New Zealand and Australia have agreed on a work sharing plan and will implement a single examination process in 2014.
