We are excited to announce that we have been named the #1 PCT firm in the world by Managing Intellectual Property magazine. This is our first year as #1 in the world and our 4th year as #1 in the United States. We handled 1,546 PCT applications in 2014, an increase from 2013.
Now in its sixth year, Managing IP’s list of law firms handling the most patents filed under the PCT is based on details published by WIPO. Their survey is a crucial benchmark of firms’ activities in the patent market, especially as PCT applications are assuming a greater role in IP owners’ strategies. The survey is an important tool for law firms seeking a reliable resource for identifying potential attorney firms around the world with whom they can exchange patent work.
“We are thrilled and proud to be the #1 PCT firm in the world. It goes without saying that this great success is the result of a passionate and driven group of people, dedicated to providing the best possible service to our clients,” said Justin Simpson, Founder of inovia. “Our global reach is unmatched by any IP service provider and we look forward to growing the business even further in the upcoming years.”
In addition to providing comprehensive technology to simplify the foreign filing process and reduce costs, we have a global network of agents in over 130 countries, more than double what was offered five years ago. As in previous years, our foreign agents ranked among the top filers in their markets in Managing IP’s survey. China PAT Intellectual Property Office and AFD China Intellectual Property are fourth and thirteenth in the world respectively, showing China’s influence on the world stage.
Ranking first in their respected countries was Reinhold Cohn & Partners of Israel for the second consecutive year, Jacobacci & Partners S.p.A. of Italy for the second consecutive year, Awapatent of Sweden for the third consecutive year and China Pat Intellectual Property Office of China for the fourth consecutive year.
