Translation Requirements Loosened for Finnish Validations
Effective November 1, Finland will become the 17th EPO country to accede to the London Agreement. Previously, validation of a granted European patent into Finland required a full translation of the specification. Under the London Agreement, applicants will only need to provide a translation of the claims into Finnish, provided that the rest of the application is in English.
