About the speakers

Elard Schenck:

Partner of Vossius since 2007, Elard has a particular emphasis on the technical fields of engineering, including manufacturing and production technologies as well as automotive, material science, medical technology, diagnostic apparatuses and physics.

Selected as one of Germany’s leading practitioners in the WWL: Germany 2024 report, he provides clients with practical and strategic advice in all stages and matters of German, European and global patent portfolios. In addition to patent prosecution, Elard has extensive and valuable experience in providing opinion work and conducting due diligences as well as in opposition, cancellation, invalidation and patent infringement cases before the various authorities such as the German and European Patent Office, the Federal German Patent Court, the Federal Supreme Court as well as various Lower and Upper District Courts.

Pedro Saturio Carrasco:

Pedro Saturio is a Spanish Industrial Property Attorney admitted 2004, European Patent Attorney since 2010, European Trademark and Design Attorney since 2004 and European Patent Litigator since 2015. He has a degree in Engineering, majored in Mechanics (Comillas University - ICAI, Madrid) and has a Master's Degree in Integral Logistics (Comillas University, Madrid). He has experience in the Engineering Departments of automobile and pharmaceutical companies.

He is currently a member of AIPPI, COAPI, EPI, FICPI and belongs to UNION Designs Commission. He is co-author of a book on management of Intellectual Property Rights in technological projects and author of several articles about IP. He has been working in Elzaburu SLP since 1998, where currently he is one of the coordinators of the Patent Department.
