Highly experienced leader with wide ranging knowledge over several key geographies and industries: with over 33 years’ experience of financial and managerial positions, Richard utilizes his experience of working within RWS and other industries to lead the company, enhance the company culture, and profitably grow the business.
Strong financial skills: joined RWS in October 2012 as CFO and Company Secretary, and played a pivotal role in RWS’s move into life sciences translations, spearheading the acquisition of CTi and LUZ. Following the acquisition of CTi, Richard was appointed deputy CEO in 2015.
Good communication skills: with experience at all levels of management, Richard clearly articulates a vision of RWS’s growth strategy.
Chief Financial Officer
Highly experienced leader: Desmond has almost 20 years’ experience in senior finance roles across a range of sectors in UK and US headquartered businesses with international operations. He had a central role in GAN’s development from internet start-up to its IPO in November 2013, and subsequently increasing the company’s market profile with both existing shareholders and the wider investment community.
Alternative Investment Market (AIM) experience: as CFO for GAN plc, Desmond was instrumental in preparing the company for its successful AIM public listing in November 2013, and subsequently expanding the company’s operations and delivery capability across the US and Europe.
Finance strategy design and delivery: at GAN plc Desmond took the financial lead in driving the US market entry strategy and played a key role in expanding the company’s operations and delivery across the US and Europe. During his time at Rodale International, Desmond took on the role of shaping and delivering the financial strategy of the international portfolio of joint ventures and licensees of this market leading health and wellness media company.
Chief Operating Officer

Managing Director, Patent Translation & Filing
Highly experienced leader with extensive market and industry knowledge: with over 24 years of experience in various positions across RWS, Charles uses his deep knowledge of the translation and intellectual property industries to help inform the company’s strategic direction.
Strong commercial skills: as an established leader within RWS, Charles takes overall responsibility for supplier management, acts as a senior point of contact for major client accounts, and leads on contract negotiations.
Personnel management: based at Head Office, Charles acts as a key point of contact for staff across the business and oversees the flow of work between departments.
Managing Director, Patent Information
Highly experienced leader with extensive market and industry knowledge: over 24 years of experience in various positions across RWS, including more than a decade in key linguistic roles. Neil uses his deep knowledge of the translation and intellectual property industries to engage with clients and ensure that our product and service quality meets and exceeds expectations.
Strong technical skills: building on his long-standing involvement in customer-facing technology platforms such as inovia and PatBase, Neil drives the early adoption of advanced software solutions into our business to improve internal efficiency and end-user experience.
International experience: acts as the interface between Head Office and our sales and production sites in China and Japan, delivering harmonized processes and combined strategic initiatives.
Managing Director, Life Sciences
Highly experienced leader with extensive sales and operational knowledge: with over 25 years in the multilingual content arena, Sheena fulfils the demand for high-quality language services in the life sciences industry by utilizing her extensive knowledge of operational management, business development, and the key requirements of the life sciences sector.
Customer focused: ensures premium delivery of exceptional customer service and top business performance across all regions of the world in this highly-regulated environment.
New product development: responsible for and dedicated to building a portfolio of new and improved solutions for our Life Sciences clients while extending the RWS brand and services to global markets.

Stuart uses his industry knowledge and his customer focus to create language solutions that deliver.
Interpreting solutions: Stuart led the development of our interpreting service offerings which now support our global customer base.
Systems optimization: building on his experience in translation production, Stuart has significant experience in the implementation of workflow management systems to drive efficiencies and exceed customer expectations.
