Why translation technologies benefit an organization, even when translation projects are fully outsourced. 

Within an organization, translation work can often be outsourced to external vendors. As a result, many companies are unaware of the role technology plays in the translation process. 

This leads few companies to purchase such technology for use in-house. Instead, it is left to their outsourcing partners to put such technologies to good use on their behalf. There are however a number of cogent reasons for introducing translation technology internally, even if translation work is rarely or never performed in-house.
