Supported patent filings

* Power of Attorney forms must be notarized and legalized via either the Apostille procedure or at the Omani consulate.

** Assignments need to be notarized and legalized by the Apostille or the Omani consulate.

*** The Arabic translation can be submitted within 90 days from the filing date. However, the Arabic translation of the title and abstract, and the English specification or translation, must be submitted at filing.

• The Power of Attorney, Assignment, and Certificate of Incorporation must be submitted 90 days from the filing date. An Arabic translation of these documents is required.

• Other documents: A certificate of incorporation or a certified copy of the extract from the commercial register is required.

• A certified copy of the Priority Document(s) must be submitted within three months from filing date, with details needed at filing. A translation of the Priority Document is not required.

• A certificate of incorporation, or a certified copy of the extract from the commercial register, is required.  The document must be legalized up to the Omani consulate, or alternatively via the Apostille procedure, and can be filed within 90 days of the filing date.
