SDL (LSE: SDL) today announced that Casio Computer Co. Ltd., a multinational electronic manufacturing organization, has extended its partnership with SDL to enhance its multilingual online presence across both corporate and G-Shock websites as part of its customer experience management strategy.
Established in 1957, Casio has pioneered innovation across consumer products such as timepieces, electronic dictionaries, calculators, electronic musical instruments and digital cameras. With an extensive network of offices across the globe, Casio had an urgent requirement to extend its international web presence in a very short timeframe to keep pace with and optimize overseas growth opportunities.
“The results to date have been phenomenal with over a 100% increase in online visitors,” comments Mr. Hiroshi Masubuchi, General Manager, Global Website Strategies Department, Corporate Communication Division, Casio Computer Co., Ltd. “With SDL as our localization and consultancy partner, we know that our online messages reach local markets in a language and context that our customers understand.”
“In addition, SDL’s knowledge, experience and skills in functional and linguistic testing ensures that we can provide an integrated cross channel customer experience for languages such as Arabic, which reads from right to left, on devices such as iPhones,” continues Mr. Masubuchi.
Working collaboratively with Casio, SDL’s in-house network of native-speaking subject matter experts deliver high-quality, consistent, relevant communications across six languages for the corporate website including Thai and Vietnamese and 14 languages for the G-Shock range including Arabic. In addition, tight integration with Casio’s content management system consistently accelerates time-to-market for new products and updates.
“With a creative and innovative approach, Casio embarked on its global journey at an early stage and we are delighted to work with them to further extend this global footprint,” says Richard Delanty, VP Sales & Operations - Asia, SDL. “Our goal is to consistently maintain Casio’s brand and messaging as it is communicated across languages, cultures and channels.”
