Independent analyst firm Ars Logica recently revealed SDL Tridion Sites as the best-in-class pick for most scalable enterprise web content management platform currently available in-market. If that wasn’t exciting enough, Sites received the second-highest overall score.
These highly-recognized honors come just after the Web Content Management (WCM) solution, SDL Tridion Sites 9.1, release.

We’re not surprised at all by this announcement. Content Bloom has been a proud global implementation partner of SDL for many years and are fully in tune with how powerful this platform is. SDL’s ability to consistently implement large-scale changes and improvements, as well as feature intuitive, user-friendly, and flexible interfaces allows our clients the ability to seamlessly navigate their expansive sites.

We’ve had the opportunity to work with SDL Tridion Sites 9.1 and, for a number of reasons, are loving it. Specifically its strengths around:
  • Large-scale deployment
  • Ability to connect to other applications within the site
  • Collaboration
  • Connectivity
  • Scalability
  • Flexibility
  • Integration with translation software and machine translation
  • Globalization/localization capabilities

And that’s not even the half of it.

Founder of Ars Logica, Tony White, said, “[SDL] produces an extremely scalable best-of-breed platform that incorporates one of the broadest sets of feature-functionality available on the market. The Tridion Sites product is particularly well-suited to global enterprise deployments with rigorous brand management and digital marketing requirements. The vendor’s DX products above and beyond Tridion Sites also make it a strong contender in the digital experience platform market.”

Wondering about the criteria to become Ars Logica’s top pick? Before a platform is considered a possible contender, it must meet specific thresholds in a few main areas within the business, technology, and services departments. These include:
  • Usability and interface
  • Content marketing tools
  • Enterprise tech stack leverage
  • Momentum and strategic vision
  • Scalability
  • Flexibility
  • Development tools
  • Ease of administration
As we all know, SDL is a global leader in content management and is used primarily by high-level, enterprise companies due to its exceptional flexibility with regard to content, layout, translation, code, and localization/globalization abilities.

However, one of Content Bloom’s favorite attributes is SDL’s ability to bring the tech community together and really listen to the users’ needs and wants. Who doesn’t love a large-scale platform dedicated to the user journey?

Let it not be forgotten that a new Tridion Integration Framework was also mentioned in the report. This will allow marketers to plug SDL Tridion Sites into a variety of technologies including SAP Commerce Cloud, Salesforce, Bynder, Aprimo, and others.

You can find the entire write up in Ars Logica’s Compass Guide to WCM, Q4 2019 report.

We’re certainly celebrating with you, SDL! Congrats on the well-deserved win.
