RWS & University of Leicester Summer Internship

Today, we are excited to announce the official launch of our internship partnership with the University of Leicester for their Modern Foreign Language (MFL) students. 

We proudly offer real world experience for two localization students within our Linguistic Validation and Language Service teams. The aim of this internship program is to highlight to language students the wealth of possible career opportunities that are open to them globally. With a client base that spans Europe, Asia Pacific, North and South America across the technology, medical, financial, legal, chemical, automotive, government and telecommunications sectors RWS feels they will be able to help our interns not only navigate real-life experiences but honing their skillset to help secure employment in their future post University desires. 

RWS offers a wide variety of career opportunities to prospective students. From Translation Project Management to Technology Engineers, In-house Translators, Research and Licensing, Sales, Account Management, Team Leads and Managers. There are plentiful opportunities in LSPs (Language Service Providers) for emerging talent. Our internship team is excited to help cultivate the future for these students, especially coming out of the pandemic years is more crucial than ever. 

Our internship team Hayley Simpson-Finch, Tatiana Gordeeva and Angieszka Knopik are some of the top experts in the industry and will mentor our interns through their summer roles within RWS. The 12-week program working within the Regulated Industries division within RWS is open to Current University of Leicester students. This is an exciting time; our interns will gain the opportunity to experience life at RWS and to gain valuable insight into the business and work alongside experienced professionals who will both challenge and inspire them.

The future is bright for the internship program as there may be the possibility of a year-long graduate placement. This placement offers the possibility of expansion into other areas of RWS including Interpreting, IP (Intellectual Property) & Patent Translation, Finance, AI (Artificial Intelligence) & MT (Machine Translation) along with an increasing number of student placements and Universities. Ultimately providing more opportunities for more students.
