Privacy notice

You will be providing your Personal Data to SDL to enable us to consider your application to become a Freelance Translator. We ask for a business email address and any address you provide will be treated as a business email address. If your application is successful your Personal Data will be used by SDL in the administration of your relationship with SDL as fully detailed in an agreement which you will sign. If on your first application to become a SDL Freelance Translator you do not achieve the standards we require your Personal Data will be kept in our records for 2 years in case you should reapply. If you do achieve the necessary standards we will keep your personal data for a maximum of 5 years to enable us to consider you for your first engagement. Once you have received your first engagement your data will be processed in respect of engagements with you and will be kept for up to 6years after your last engagement. For more information please read our Privacy Notice which explains what we do with your Personal Data and that we may transfer your Personal Data outside the European Union. By registering on our site you are agreeing to the terms of our Privacy Notice and the use of your Personal Data as explained in this paragraph.
