RWS Group EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Notices
The RWS Group US corporations RWS Life Sciences Inc. and SDL Inc. (and its U.S. subsidiarie) respect your concerns about privacy. They have certified that they abide by the EU-US Privacy Shield and Swiss-Us Privacy Shield privacy principles as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, storage, use, transfer and other processing of Personal Data and Customers’ Personal Data transferred from the European Union, Switzerland and United Kingdom to the United States in connection with the activities described in the corporation’s Notices. Their Policies outline their general policy and practices for implementing the Privacy Shield privacy principles for Personal Data and Customers’ Personal Data, as applicable.
RWS is aware of the Court of Justice of the European Union decision known as “Schrems II”. The RWS Group corporations are maintaining their Privacy Shield certifications. In some cases in addition transfers of personal data from EEA, Switzerland and UK continue to take place under the EU Standard Contractual Clause framework. RWS continues to monitor developments.
