Auto-tagging

Auto-tagging is the automatic application of taxonomy to content components. Authoring teams can import or create their taxonomies from scratch and apply them automatically to content components. The human-in-the-loop approach allows the authors to review the tags before they are applied to the documents or the content component.

The tool that performs this auto-tagging action scans the content component and searches for and defines semantic meaning. As a result of this analysis, a set of tags are automatically applied to the component while allowing the author to deselect or apply tags they might consider appropriate. This manual intervention means the tool allows a human-in-the-loop process where a human can validate the information.

Auto-tagging is a steppingstone for creating intelligent content. Intelligent content allows organizations to modernize their content operations by automating business operations with the help of semantic content hubs, structured content, and taxonomy.
