Contenta, part of RWS’s Language Services and Technology division, is pleased to announce the launch of the latest version of its LiveContent solution, LiveContent 6.0, a highly flexible cloud-ready architecture for distribution management of technical publications, technician feedback and analytical data insights.

With critical shortages of technicians and engineers, the aerospace and defence industry is looking for innovative ways to fill the knowledge gap for maintenance engineers and ensure they have the most recent and up-to-date technical information for their next repair. Based on the ASD standard, Contenta’s LiveContent solution addresses these challenges with an industry-proven Interactive Electronic Technical Publication/Manual (“IETP/IETM”) solution that delivers visually interactive, real-time content into the hands of maintenance engineers, apprentices and technicians. By providing the right ‘as-maintained’ information, across multiple channels, in the moment, organizations can significantly reduce the mean-time-to-repair and improve first time fix rates of their assets.

LiveContent version 6.0 provides broader access to full time and casual maintenance users through a variety of access options. These include LiveContent Lite, a HTML version with zero client footprint, alongside desktop and mobile browser access options and native mobile applications for fully disconnected usage.

In addition, the new LiveContent version 6.0:
  • Provides technician feedback with associated workflows in support of the ASD standard S5000F for feedback management.
  • Is designed to work for maintenance customers regardless of backend databases.
  • Is highly configurable to allow users to customize the look and feel to fit their organization.
  • Provides diagnostic tools with its Process Data Module supporting predictive maintenance concepts such as Condition-based Maintenance Plus (CBM+).
“Our new version enables the flow of content and information across the entire service lifecycle, which greatly improves the performance of workers,” said Tim Russell-Jones, General Manager of Contenta. “With insight into technicians’ repairs and maintenance task histories, companies can improve their training, identify and fill any gaps in technicians’ knowledge and provide analytical insights to improve processes and procedures.”

LiveContent 6.0 is part of the upgrade path for current LiveContent S1000D clients. The solution’s enhancements will be revealed by Matt Evans, VP of Product and Development at Contenta, at the S1000D and S-Series IPS User Forum on 13 September 2023.

Contenta will also be hosting a webinar to explore the value of better data management using the S1000D Technical Publications standard. The webinar will be held on 26 October 2023 at 9h00 CT. To register, click here.
