The Beatles famously sang “I get by with a little help from my friends,” and there is no shortage of wise sayings about the value of friends, colleagues and partners. SDL works with a wide network of partners across our technology portfolio and we’re continually welcoming new partnerships. As you will have seen from our most recent machine translation partnerships, they’ve largely centered on helping customers make sense of their content overload. In today’s information-driven world, this has never been more important.

Some of our partners provide complimentary technology, some focus on specific domains, and some embed our technology into their own solutions. This blog provides a roundup of our most recent machine translation partnerships. It’s not an exhaustive list. There are just too many to mention, like Nuance, a provider of Automatic Speech Recognition, Salesforce LiveAgent, which provides interactive support channels, and Relativity, who offer an eDiscovery framework for legal firms.

Here, we’ll take a look at the following partnerships, and how we’re working together to help brands understand their multilingual content:

  • Cellebrite: a digital intelligence company that has embedded SDL Machine Translation into its Smart Translator add-on
  • Sail Labs: a global leading provider of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) systems and Natural Language Processing technologies
  • Expert System: a leader in artificial intelligence applied to text
  • Druid: an AI-powered chatbot platform
  • Reynen Court: a technology platform built for today’s legal industry

Cellebrite

Cellebrite is a technology partner that provides customers with the latest tools for digital intelligence. It works with government agencies, primarily but not exclusively law enforcement, around the world. For law enforcement, Cellebrite is an invaluable tool for helping to stop criminal activity. SDL provides a secure, automatic translation platform for Cellebrite’s own Smart Translator. This module is embedded into the UFED (Universal Forensic Extraction Device) Physical Analyzer. You can learn more about this here or by signing up for this webinar.

SAIL LABS

SAIL LABS (Speech, Artificial Intelligence & Language Labs) was founded in 1999 and is a leading provider of OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) systems along with language technologies that are key to media monitoring and analysis. It focuses on end-to-end systems and tools that can efficiently extract and analyze information from open source media channels (TV, radio, blogs, social media, etc.), turning them into actionable intelligence. SDL’s machine translation technology makes it easier to work with multilingual content. Expert System

Expert System is a technology provider AI-based natural language understanding. It has been recognized by the analyst community as a leader in this broad category, and it works with an impressive global customer base. This partnership provides customers with a world-class solution for content intelligence that incorporates a global perspective. You can learn more at this joint webinar, presented by George Bara, VP Strategic Partnerships & Alliances at SDL, and Andrea Melegari, SEVP Defense, Intelligence & Security at Expert System. Druid

So far, we have focused on content intelligence—the application of linguistic technology, including machine translation, to extract insight from data. Druid is different. The company provides customers with an easy, no-code solution for chatbots. SDL Machine Translation automatically—and instantly—translates chatbot content, across almost any language. Recent research by Accenture found that 46% of executives said that chatbots are driving disruption in their industry and 43% note that their competitors are already implementing the technology. Chatbots are increasingly important as a channel for marketing, service, HR and more. Learn more about this partnership, and request a Druid demo, here.

Reynen Court

Last, but not least, on this list is Reynen Court, which has put together a technology platform for the legal industry. Customers can take advantage of this single platform for all their technology solutions. Reynen Court curates the content, and streamlines the adoption process so that users don’t have to worry about the installation headaches of having to patch multiple technologies together. Security, scalability, performance are all accounted for and for a busy law firm, or legal department, having their technology sourced via a single provider makes sense. IT can focus on enabling and supporting users rather than worrying about securing, installing and configuring the many applications that a law firm needs. You can read more about this partnership here.
