What is your profession? Patent analyst/searcher.

What is your education background? Master of Pharmacy.

What, if any, experience do you have in patent research? I do state of art search for technologies, patent landscaping and analysis.

What skills are the most useful in your research with RWS? Concept based search of technologies in hand.

How did you first learn about RWS? I searched various blogs and websites to for crowdsourcing, and started participating.

What languages do you speak? English, Hindi, Marathi.

What do you enjoy most about being an RWS Researcher? Getting reward and being competitive (self performance tracking).

What is the most challenging aspect of RWS Research? Understanding various strategies for Patent invalidity (Novelty, obviousness tools etc).

How can RWS improve your researching experience? Emphasizing more on features more desired in research requirements and in successive leads.

What online or offline resources do you use in your research? (i.e. IEEE Xplore, PubMed, Library, etc.) Patentscope, Espacenet, Google Scholar, google etc. and respective national patent office websites.

What have you learned about researching, technology, or patents since joining RWS? I knew many of searching parts already, but technology to product tracking and marketed products are also requirements, for submission.

How will you use your reward money? I will spend money with my family.

Would you recommend researching with AOP to a friend or colleague? Why or why not? If one is sincere and have patience in researching, I will recommend him for sure.

What are your Top 3 Tips for being an AOP Researcher?

1. Sound / core scientific knowledge of technology in hand
2. Key players working on same technology
3. Blogs, videos, magazine etc provide familiarisation to research studies

What is the most exciting story or discovery you have made while searching for prior art? No search is straighforward for granted patents but if we give time we get the way deeper and get documents.
