It’s been an exciting few months here at SDL. Many of you will know that – as part of our digital first strategy – we recently announced a transformation of SDL.com. Not just a revamp. But an entirely new look, feel and digital experience for customers, partners, prospects and investors.
And we’re proud to announce that the new
SDL.com is now live!
As the world’s main window into our business, it’s important that SDL.com reflects the brilliance of our people, technologies and how we’re supporting our amazing customers. Our primary goal has been to make it simple for our audiences to quickly find what they need, and understand what we do, within just a few clicks. We achieved this by re-working the navigation to showcase our lead offerings and industry solutions, providing clear content and by simplifying the home page.
We’ve also extended the number of languages that we support on SDL.com. If you’re looking for products, news, blogs, whitepapers or reports – it’s all available in 8 languages. Built on SDL Tridion, our own web content management platform, content is dynamically rendered for any device. It’s intuitive, personalized, and it’s never been easier to find the information you want.
Let’s take a look at some of the big changes.
New straightforward navigation
The online world is part of our daily lives with attention-grabbing headlines competing for our clicks at every moment. People want more efficiency and value from their web visits to stay engaged and return. And so creating a simple navigation was a top priority when creating our new experience. Now prospects and customers can navigate to the product, service, industry, business solution or support they need directly from the top navigation – with a single click.
Scannable content
When the average session for a B2B website is about 1 minute and 57 seconds, long, verbose sentences are just going to lose their attention. Our short scannable sentences will help customers pick out important words and phrases much faster about what the product is for, who it’s for, what they can do with it, and the benefits on offer.
New design and visual appeal
We have confidence in our expertise, ability and value; in our innovation and in our thinking. We wanted this confidence to come across in our visual style: clean, simple, bold, and emotive. Our abstract imagery and visual concepts help us better convey our core values, while avoiding clichés, clutter and noise.
We’re truly excited by our new digital experience. And we hope you are too. We’d welcome your thoughts and feedback, and invite you to visit SDL.com and share your comments with the
Digital Experience team.
